DEACON MINISTRY

Purpose Statement:  “To assist the Pastor in carrying out the total administration needs of the church.”

Goals:

1.  To administer the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper.

2.  To support the church worship services with attendance, tithes and offerings.

3.  To visit members who are not in regular attendance and encourage them to return to Mt. Olive.

4.  To visit the sick and shut-in members of the church.

5.  To increase individual knowledge of God’s word and the office of deacon through individual study.

6.  To support all activities of the church (I.e. Sunday School, Bible Study, Laymen, Seminars, Ministry Programs, etc.).
